Colloidal grout mixer

This high-shear cement slurry mixer utilises a high-speed impeller operating at approximately 1,500 rpm, which rapidly circulates water, cement and other additives within the mixing drum, generating strong shearing and dispersing effects. This effectively breaks up lumps of powder, resulting in a more uniform and stable slurry, thereby creating optimal conditions for subsequent pumping and grouting.

Diesel power is suitable for foundations, bridge approaches and temporary work areas where the electricity supply is unreliable. The HWM400D grout mixer uses a 10 Hp diesel engine weighing approximately 300 kg; the site must therefore be prepared for mechanical handling, levelling of the foundation, fuel management and ventilation.
If the equipment is to be permanently installed in an area with a stable power supply, or if the construction site has strict emission restrictions, an electric solution is generally more suitable.

The HWM400D cement bentonite grout mixer’s 1,500 rpm impeller rapidly promotes circulation within the tank, aiding the dispersion of solid materials. The nominal mixing time is approximately 3 minutes; however, if the material supplier or construction plan requires pre-hydration of the bentonite, the total slurry preparation time should account for this stage.

The cement bentonite grout mixer accommodates a water-to-cement ratio of 0.45 or higher; however, this is not a universal formulation. The strength, viscosity, bleeding, setting time and injectability of the slurry are also influenced by the type of cement, the type and dosage of bentonite, water temperature and admixtures.

The HWM400D portable diesel cement grout mixer is equipped with a 10 Hp diesel engine operating at a rated speed of 2,200 rpm, which drives a high-speed impeller rotating at 1,500 rpm to prepare the grout within its 400-litre tank. There is no need to wait for temporary power to be connected on site, allowing for more flexible positioning close to boreholes, tunnel portals or foundation treatment areas.
