Cellular Lightweight Concrete (CLC) is one of the latest technologies in the manufacture of concrete. Compared with ordinary conventional concrete, it has many advantages.
Fly ash is considered to be one of the most difficult industrial wastes to dispose of. It solves the problem of the disposal of fly ash and reduces the construction cost. As a result, fly ash-based CLCs are considered to be environmentally sustainable materials with the least energy demand.
Compared to ordinary concrete, the use of fly ash-based porous lightweight concrete can significantly reduce density, while the strength is not affected by the appropriate combination of designs. When we use this type of concrete, we can achieve large volumes by reducing the amount of concrete used.
The concrete manufacturing process does not involve any high-cost technology. The CLC is manufactured in a similar manufacturing process to ordinary concrete and is used in this additional foam generator.
Fly ash-based honeycomb lightweight concrete
It is a lightweight concrete that can be produced like ordinary concrete under environmental conditions. It is made from slurry made from cement and sand and fly ash (26% to 34% of the content) and water.
Porous concrete is a lightweight product consisting of silicate cement, cement-silica, cement-volcanic ash, lime-volcanic ash, lime-silicon slurry or slurry containing these gradient mixtures and has homogeneous voids or hole structures, and uses foaming agents.
In porous lightweight concrete, density can be controlled by introducing gas or foam into a foam generator.
CLC is an air-cured lightweight concrete with fly ash as its main component, which can be produced like conventional concrete on a large project site using the equipment and molds used in traditional concrete pouring.
It is particularly suitable for the separation of low-rise load-bearing buildings and multi-storey blocks in China.
For different density outputs, fly ash accounts for more than 25% of the solid material composition of the CLC mixture (between 26% and 33%).
Fly ash - a nasty waste product from coal-fired power plants - accounts for more than 25% of the composition. The CLC can be produced in the density range of 400 kg/m3 to 1,800 kg/m3 and has a high insulation value and 28-day cube pressure resistance up to 275 kg/cm2.

The production densities of this honeycomb lightweight concrete (CLC) range from 400 kg/m3 to 1,800 kg / m3 to suit different applications.
The lower density of 400-600 kg/m3 is ideal for insulation applications. CLC's fire protection, antitermants, waterproof, termite-resistant, very low water absorption and environmental friendliness. This range is also used to lay soundproofing layers on structural panels on the middle floors of high-end hotels and public buildings to minimize noise propagation between the upper and lower floors. Due to its upright beams and other advantages, it can also be used as filler for recesses in bathrooms or other floors. It is commonly used as a substitute for Thermocole, glass cotton, wood cotton, etc.
The medium density range of 800-1000 kg/m3 can be used to manufacture prefabricated blocks of non-load-bearing wall masonry in frame structures. The size of the banquet/exterior brick can be 500x250x200 mm, and the nominal size of the internal divider can be 500x250x100 mm, although any desired size can be produced as required.
