Project Background
In 2026, a major steel mill in Saudi Arabia undertook a blast furnace upgrade and renovation. The client’s existing forced-action mixer suffered from uneven mixing, resulting in significant batch-to-batch variations and high scrap rates, which failed to meet the project’s quality requirements. Consequently, there was an urgent need for a specialized refractory mixer capable of achieving high mixing uniformity and featuring wear resistance.
Equipment Selection
Following in-depth discussions with our engineers, the client decided to purchase three HWRM500 500kg and three HWRM250 250kg refractory disc mixers, as well as a refractory spray machine. Our refractory mixers are fully equipped with high-wear-resistant liners, suitable for highly abrasive refractory materials such as corundum, silicon carbide, and high-alumina cement. They enable precise control of mixing uniformity and meet the high-temperature operating conditions required by steel mills.
Ready for Shipment
April 2026: The three refractory mixers and the refractory spray machine manufactured by our company have completed trial runs and are ready for shipment.
This equipment is capable of continuous operation with low maintenance costs, meeting the high-intensity demands of continuous production in steel mills. We look forward to receiving feedback from our Saudi Arabian client.
